TELL YOUR STORY! TELL IT PROUD! TELL IT WITH STORYCORPS OUTLOUD!

8 Jun

StoryCorps’ San Francisco is excited to announce we’ll be one of the featured community organizations at June 18th’s Pride Party! We’ll be at the party all day to celebrate Pride with the Center and provide information about StoryCorps OutLoud, our project to record and preserve the voices of LGBTQ individuals across the nation.  StoryCorps is a national non-profit oral history project whose mission is to celebrate love through listening and storytelling. Since 2003, we’ve recorded over 30,000 interviews between loved ones across the country.

We’ll set up INTERACTIVE LISTENING stations with some of our favorite LGBTQ stories from across the country and provide info on how you can RECORD YOUR STORY and book you and your loved ones an appointment at our recording booth here in Downtown SF, at the Contemporary Jewish Museum since November 2008. StoryCorps staff Natalia, Sophia, and Kevin will be on hand to answer any questions about StoryCorps and how to sign up for a recording slot with a loved one. To make a June or July appointment at the booth, click here: http://storycorps.org/record-your-story/locations/san-francisco-ca/.
